Pylos is located on Navarino Bay, a few kilometers from the resorts at Costa Navarino. If you're looking for a change of pace, there's much to see and do in this small costal town with a huge place in Greek history.
The mythological figure of King Nestor is well known here. He lends his name to the ruins of The Palace of Nestor, which dates back to the Bronze Age. Artifacts carved with Linear B language - an ancient predecessor of modern Greek - have been found among the ruins.
